Welcome

We are proud to be Tigers!
Literacy consultant Carrie Ekey visited AN to share her expertise with parents, teachers and students. The days Mrs. Ekey spent in our school were a great experience for everyone and helped prepare our teachers to continue using the latest strategies in order to help our children be successful in reading and writing.

Dear Parents, Prospective Parents and Visitors,

The Elementary School faculty, staff and I welcome you to ANS. The American Nicaraguan School is enriched by a multicultural student body comprised of children from more than 29 different nationalities.

At the elementary school we work together with parents, teachers and children to form a partnership and provide the students with the best possible educational experience. Every day we strive to fulfill our mission of helping our children become critical thinkers and ethical individuals capable of realizing their leadership potential by making meaningful contributions to society.

Communication with parents is very important to us. We are constantly striving to strengthen the collaboration between school and home in order to ensure a successful academic year for everyone.  However, parent support and involvement are essential in achieving this goal.  I firmly believe that parents and school personnel must be partners in the process of caring for all children.

The ANS community should also know that everyone in the Elementary School is dedicated to help all children reach their fullest potential in a safe and respectful environment.

We look forward to a year full of learning, growth, and development for all ANS students.

If you have questions or concerns, feel free to contact the Elementary School Office at (505) 2278 – 5013 or (505) 2278 – 0029 ext 16 or via email at  elementary@ans.edu.ni

Sincerely,
Fredy Ramirez
