I want to welcome the returning and new families joining the ANS community. To introduce myself to the Elementary school family, I want to share with you a little bit of my background. The 2009-2010 school year will be my 10th year at ANS and my third as the Elementary Principal. I started working at the American Nicaraguan School in 1999 as the School's Technology Coordinator. Prior to that I worked for The Houston Independent School District for over 10 years as an elementary teacher and technology trainer. I graduated from the University of Houston with a Bachelor's in Bilingual education and I also hold a Texas teaching certification in Spanish, ESL and elementary education. In 2003 I obtained a Master's Degree in International Education from Framingham State College. In the summer of 2008 I finished a program in school administration from Drexel University and passed the Pennsylvania State Certification Examination. I have been married for 13 years and have two children one is 8 years old and the other is 3. I enjoy working with computers, reading and spending time with my wife and kids. I am looking forward to a successful year for all the elementary school students, parents, teachers and staff. |
